Staying current with information and research in early childhood education keeps us inspired and motivated. Part of our mission is to share what we have learned with other educators. A rising tide lifts all ships...so let's rise together and be our best for the children and families we serve. Our passion is supporting play, creative thinking, creative arts, and environments which foster exploration. We offer practicum placements, program workshops, in-service training, program consulting, and tours of our program throughout the year. You will find the links below, along with podcasts, research, articles, and resources helpful for educators.

Barron Park Preschool is committed to helping educators at every level develop their professional skills and careers. The preschool hosts various events and educator exploration days at our location in Palo Alto throughout the year. Kim and Tom facilitate in-service trainings and workshops on creativity, play-based learning, and emergent curriculum. Additionally, Kim is available as a keynote speaker for conferences, parent education events, and staff development.

Conference & Workshop Resources
Below are handouts, articles, and slide decks we use when presenting our workshops at conferences. You will find resources from California and National Association for the Education of Young Children (CAAEYC/NAEYC), CCPPNS, CQEL, Painting the Future, and other conferences. They should be interesting and educational for teachers, parents, and students in early childhood educational studies.

We are a California Mentor site and our mentor program is over seen by Craig. If you are a student needing to complete your practicum hours please send us an email. Practicum students have the opportunity to gain first hand experience under a master teacher in an excellent play-based learning environment and gain a solid foundation for your teaching career.
